Marj Hahne
Marj Hahne is a poet and an educator who teaches poetry writing to
children and adults. She has performed her poetry in Philadelphia, New York,
San Francisco, and Houston and Austin, Texas. Marj's poems have been
published in "Painted Bride Quarterly," "Mad Poets Review,"
"La Petite Zine," "Rogue Scholars," "Bum Rush the Page: A Def Poetry Jam"
anthology, and will appear in the forthcoming anthologies, "Off the Cuffs" and
"Decades of a Woman."
She has also self-published two collections of poetry, "Finding
What Hides" and "Remembrance: for September 11, 2001" (7WenchesPress),
and recorded a poetry CD, "notspeak."
Jackie Sheeler
Jackie Sheeler's work has appeared in Long Shot, Rattapallax, Medicinal
Purposes, Slant, New York Press and many other journals. She was just
awarded the Magellan Prize from Buttonwood Press, which published her
first full-length book of poetry in February 2002. Her latest project, an
anthology of poems Off the Cuffs, is forthcoming
from Soft Skull Press. She curates the popular weekly Pink Pony West Poetry
Reading Series in NYC, which draws a standing-room-only crowd almost every
Friday night.
Jackie is publisher and producer of the Poetz website and its associated monthly poetry newsletter
(circulation 10,000) and a frequent featured performer at venues through the NYC
area.
