DuEwa Frazier conducts a Poetry Workshop at Robin's
PHILADELPHIA - Acclaimed New York City slam poet,
author, teacher and publisher,DuEwa M. Frazier, will
teach an interactive performance poetry workshop
called
"From Poetry to Hip Hop" at Robin's Bookstore on July 12, 2003.
Frazier has
performed at some of the most well known and
prestigious poetry slam venues in New York City, such
as The Nuyorican Poet's Cafe, Jimmy's Uptown, Bowery
Poetry Club, Brooklyn Moon Cafe (where Saul Williams,
MuMs and Jessica Care Moore started) and other
locations accross the country.
A self published
author who is CEO of Lit Noire Publishing,
her bestselling volume of poetry, Shedding Light From
My Journeys has received positive reviews by Essence
Magazine , Rawsistaz Book Reviewers , Amazon.com and
others. She is the author of two upcoming plays to be
staged in New York City and has recently been
nominated for Poet of the Year by SpokenVizions
Magazine.
